Blue Lantern Hal Jordan Minimate

Yet another Minimate customizer uses the Alternative Universe Contest to come up with a more burlesque idea to alter an existing Minimate character. Meet Hal Jordan, the Blue Lantern, spreading sadness throughout the galaxy with the help of his empowered tears. One of my all time favorite customizers over at MMMV, Shamrock, came up with this saddest Lantern of all idea and you can read the whole background story after the jump.

Dr. Doomsy: Hello Kitty Dr. Doom Minimate

Hold your breath, because this will hurt! Ever thought about an alternative gender-reversed Marvel universe where Dr. Doom is a sugar and spice controlling cutie from Cuteveria? Maybe you need something like Luke's Alternative Universe contest to bring up things like that. Well, here's Vicky von Doom, the Hello Kitty lovin' Dr. Doom custom by the incredibly talented Mini Myte over at MMMV. Hellions Minimates

Talking about obscure characters. Does anybody remember Marvel's Hellions, Emma Frosts New Mutants kind of team? No? Doesn't matter! These Hellions minimate customs by Psyguy are amazing! The more ridiculous outfits look great on these minimates and DST should have a closer look on those, because they work great as 'mates. Thundercats Tygra Minimate

It was a bit of a letdown when DST didn’t announce they’d do Thundercats minimates on Toy Fair - some people were really hopefull and enthusiastic about that rumor, including me… Anyway, here’s what we might have seen: Tygra custom by eclipse over at MMMV. A Resident Evil 5 box set of minimate customs by Luke314pi. You have to love those details, don’t you? Pouches, knee pads, headsets. The decal design is amazing!
