Mongul Minimate

Mongul Minimate
Not much is known about the origins of this yellow skinned former ruler and dictator of a whole world. Mongul the Merciless. Big fellow. Mighty mighty. And thanks to the incredible skills of Psyguy here's a Mongul Minimate. He's based on one of the older 3" 'mates with a lot of sculpting added to him. Do you see his face? That's some kind of art, isn't it? OK, I have to say that he got a nose and noses... well Minimates don't have 'em, right? But still this guy is just amazing. Go, have a closer look and read about the recipe after jump.

Scott Pilgrim Ramona Flowers Minimate

Scott Pilgrim Ramona Flowers Minimate
Tha last day of our little Scott Pilgrim VS Shamrock Week introduces the girl of Scott's dreams: Ramona Flowers. She literally is the girl Scott met in his dreams and now he's totally in lurve with her. On the one hand, she's amazing, attractive, lived in New York and is therefore cool, works as a ninja delivery girl for amazon.co and, I mean just wow. Well, on the other hand she has seven evil exes, doesn't she? Anyway, once more Shamrock nailed her. No, wait, that came out wrong. He did an amazing job on his Ramona Flowers Minimate and you just have to admire those sculpted details! The hair, the goggles, the subspace bag, the hammer! He even made her removable rollerbaldes! Go, have a look yourself and check out more pics of her after the jump.

Scott Pilgrim Gideon Graves Minimate

Scott Pilgrim Gideon Graves Minimate
Day four of our little Scott Pilgrim VS Shamrock Week brings you non other than Mr. Gideon Graves! Gideon is the founder of the League of Ramona's Evil Exes, an epic mastermind, womanizer, excellent sword fighter and a dick. He's perfectly portrait by Jason Schwartzman in the movie. Shamrock strikes again with this simple, yet great Gideon Graves Minimate. Inspired by the movie and game, he provided him the pixel katana which is just an awesome and very creative Minimate accessory. I also like the reflection on his glasses quite a lot! You can see some additional pics right after the jump.

Scott Pilgrim Roxie Richter Minimate

Scott Pilgrim Roxie Richter Minimate
Day three of our little Scott Pilgrim VS Shamrock week introduces Roxanne "Roxie" Richter. Being a half-ninja and a blonde, Roxie is more than a tough cookie and taught Ramona everything she knows about fighting, subspace-highways and stuff. Because - attention: spoiler ahead! - Roxie is Ramona's fourth evil ex! They dated in highschool because Ramona was bi curious. Anyway, Shamrock did an impressive job on his Roxie Richter Minimate! A very clever parts selection combined with the hand painted facial expression and the fishnet sleeve, he really caught her likeness. You can see Roxie face off Scott after the jump.

Scott Pilgrim Matthew Patel Minimate

Scott Pilgrim Matthew Patel Minimate
Day two of our Scott Pilgrim VS. Shamrock Week brings you Ramona's first evil ex boyfriend: Matthew Patel. Although he's the easiest to defeat, I really liked him a lot by the first time I read volume 1. The whole surreal and absurd music-battle is a good example for O'Malley's great sense of humor and style. I also enjoyed Satya Bhabha's performance in the movie. Shamrock perfectly captured the likeness of Patel in all his hipster/goth/pirate-style and was obviously inspired by both, his comic and movie appearance. Have a closer look and see him fight Scott minimate-style right after the jump.

Scott Pilgrim Minimate

Scott Pilgrim Minimate
It was seven years ago today - not really today, but in August 2004 - when Bryan Lee O'Malley came up with the first issue of his Scott Pilgrim series. That's five and a half year before I jumped on the bandwaggon. Boy was I late! Protagonist of this lovely boy-meets-girl-meets-evil-exes-coming-of-age-story is Scott Pilgrim, who's awesome (at least that's how he's rated) and the best fighter in Ontario, Canada. Customizer Shamrock did the amazing job to basicly customize the whole main cast! Reason enough to run an official Scott Pilgrim VS. Shamrock Week here at BAMF! We start off with the man on a mission himself, here's Shamrock's Scott Pilgrim Minimate complete with X-Men parka and the Power-of-Love sword (Guts +2, Heart +3, Smarts +1, Will +1). Actually this is Shamrock's second version of him (here's the first) and he improved a lot of details. Have a closer look and see more pics of Scott right after the jump.

Friday 13th Jason Voorhees Minimate

Friday 13th Jason Voorhees Minimate
Sweet 80s horror movies. What began as a gory shocker later created one of the most iconic horror film characters of all time: Jason Voorhees. Wearing a hockey mask never felt the same again. Customizer Mini Myte took his time and skills to customize not only the single Friday 13th Jason Voorhees Minimate you see here, but a whole Friday-the-13th-Through-the-Ages boxed set including the packaging! Look at the great details on this sculpted hockey mask right here! And the blood on his machete. Great. You can view a truckload of pics including Pamela Vorhees and Jason with his burlap sack from the second movie, after the jump.

Young Avengers Wiccan Minimate

Young Avengers Wiccan Minimate
Billy Kaplan is Wiccan, the Young Avengers who's able to use magic. His name was part of a failsafe program that Vision 1.1 (Comicvine says it's Vision 2.0, but I trust Mirypedia more) had developed to ensure the existence of the Avengers team in case of... you know what happend. Vision might have chosen him, because actually he's Wiccan's father. Scarlet Witch being his mother. And teammember Speed's his twin brother. While Team member Hulkling's his boyfriend. Family ties. It's complicated. Not complicated at all but amazing is Psyguy's Young Avengers Wiccan Minimate. Take a look at all those stunning details! The cape, the staff, the belt, the shoulder pad. Incredible, isn't it? Have a closer look and learn about the parts used after the jump.

The Warlord Minimate

The Warlord Minimate
In an Edgar-Rice-Burroughs-meets-Jules-Verne-Hollow-Earth-world, former Vietnam veteran Travis Morgan lives and fights as the Warlord: a more civilized Conan with white hear, a sword and a .44 AutoMag. Sweet seventies. Customizer Hellpop assembled a custom Warlord Minimate and while it's basicly a quick custom, it works just fine. His iconic - but somehow useless? - chain might be added as well as the skull on his right shoulder, but that's details. I really like the lion cloth, though. Anyway, go ahead and have a closer look after the jump.

Nightrunner Minimate

Nightrunner Minimate
Right off the pages of Batman Inc., the DC series in which Batman is basicly franchising his whole crime fighting schtick on a global scale, here's Wayne's representative in Paris: a young French Muslim vigilante calling himself Nightrunner. His grey urban ninja style outfit transfers great to minimates, so Bob Harris presents a Nightrunner Minimate. A very simple design with a combination of older and more recent minimate parts and the parkour athlete is ready to fight crime in the city of love. Go ahead and watch him beat a Streets-Of-Rage style biker gang and learn all about the recept right after the jump.

Metamorpho Minimate

Metamorpho Minimate
Elements! What would we do without you? I mean, not literally, but in literature. Rex Mason became, after being exposed to a redioactive meteorite, the Element Dude Man! He's able to shapeshift into any element found in the human body - go Molybdenum! -, but isn't able to transform into a normal human form anymore. Tragedy. But what am I telling you, go listen to his song! Anyway, we've already seen some Metamorpho Minimates - like here and here -, but it's customizer extraordinaire Luke who brings us the 'mate we might would have gotten, if... Well, we all know the sad story, don't we? This guy is great and the combination of very well designed decals and a clever use of parts makes works very well on him. You can have a closer look after the jump.

Toad Minimate

Toad Minimate
Mortimer Toynbee, Magneto's toady henchman, became servile to anyone that showed him the slightest bit of affection - i.e. Magneto - after years of abuse and knowing full well he was a freak. This oldschool version of the currently more cocky and sarcastic Toad is what customizer youbastards had in mind when he did his great Toad Minimate. A very clever combination of head and hair pieces here and I really like the pose and the lighting in this picture. A shame that we haven't got an official Toad 'mate, yet. You can see some different head/hair combinations after the jump.

Dazzler Minimate

Dazzler Minimate
The late 70s. John Travolta. Saturday Night Fever. Disco. What should Marvel do back then, right? They - design by committee that is - created Dazzler, the disco singer, originally conceptualized as "The Disco Queen" with the power to make people tell the truth. Oh My God! Youbastards did a great custom Dazzler Minimate and captured the iconic look of her. The blue KISS-like face paint, the white disco suit with a low dekolleté and he even povided her a mic and visualized her light-generating abilities. Cool. Check out more pics after the jump.

Power Man Minimate

Power Man Minimate
The people at AA/DST obviously don't like Luke Cage, the super hero formerly known as Power Man. While the Power Man minimate looked kinda okay for the early days of minimates (6/10 at MMC), his current style as Luke Cage is probably one of the worst Minimates released yet (a benevolent4/10 at MMC). So at least some customizers give the big fellow some lovin'. Fwoosheyman here did a really cool Power Man Minimate and you can even hear him say 'Sweet Christmas'! Funny thing is that's a quick custom, so technically AA/DST would be able to come up with a cool minimate. Why don't they? They don't like him, trust me. Anyway, go ahead and have a closer look after the jump.

Marrina Smallwood Minimate

Marrina Smallwood Minimate
Back in the early 80s the need for strange sci-fi meets horror meets trash movies was pretty big. Think of an alien species that places their eggs all over the universe and the when they hatch from the egg, take the forms of the native species they encounter. Thank you 80s. And thanks John Byrne for giving us the super heroine mermaid Marrina Smallwood. After being dead for decades she even made her come back lately. Anyway, thanks to Psyguy we got an amazingly detailed Marrina Smallwood Minimate which is very cool. Simple, yet beutiful. Have a closer look and read the original post after jump.
