One of the most interesting characters in Moore's Watchmen is Doctor Manhattan. Not because he's naked, but because reading his point of view is completely different than anything else. Moore is able to portrait a meta perspective that really isn't human at all, but very human at the same time. Very original. As is Lobsterman's Watchmen Doctor Manhattan Minimate. It is nothing but a vanilla mate if you look at it, but the amazing details on that guy are stunning! He looks as if he just stepped out of the comic. Brilliant! You can have a closer look right after the jump.

Dark Knight Rises Batman Minimate
Deshi, deshi, basara, basara! Remember it? That's arabic and means "Ben, Ben, Affleck, Affleck!" Anyway, with The Drak Knight Rises, Nolan concluded his triology and so we've seen the last Batsuit before the re-boot. And it was good, wasn't it? Les Koting aka Squall used his magical sculpting abbilities and customized this fantastic Dark Knight Rises Batman Minimate. And it is glorious. Isn't it? You can few a lot more pics and see what this custom is based on right after the jump.

Zelda Link Minimate
"OK, there's Ganon and miniature Ganon and there's these things like jelly beans and the miniature Ganon is more powerfuller, because when you touch him the flying eagles come down and the octopus shoots red rocks and the swamp takes longer." That's Zelda II in the eyes of an eight year old. And he's right. I always liked my SNES "A Link to the Past" best. Anyway, customizer Shamrock did this amazingly detailed Zelda Link Minimate inspired by the tenth installment in the series: The Wind Waker. Great custom! You can view a lot more pics right after the jump.

Watchmen Rorschach Minimate
Since the new Before-Watchmen series came out, there seems to be new interest in the comic. Anyway, Watchmen is one of the best books ever written. Hands down. It also seems that this guy here is the fan favorite. I was always in Team Comedian, though. But I get what most people like about the man in the trenchcoat and the face mask. Customizer supreme Lobsterman did an outstanding job on this Watchmen Rorschach Minimate. I've tried it myself and failed on the trenchcoat, but this sculpted piece of beauty is as spot on as it gets. Great details. Now all we can do is hope for a complete set. Lobby? You hear me? You can see a bigger pic right after the jump.

Sam & Max Minimates
Holy jumping mother o'God in a side-car with chocolate jimmies and a lobster bib! Who's line is it? No, not Batman. It's Sam & Max, freelance policemen: the six foot dog Sam and his violent three foot rabbit lagomorph partner Max. You guys remember the old Lucas Arts point & click games? Great times. Customizer Phiz did an outstanding job creating those Sam & Max Minimates. The sculpted heads are spot on and I love the clever way he uses Minimate arms for Max' legs. Very well done! You can view a lot more pics right after the jump.

MOTU He-Man Minimate
More Masters of the Universe customs, bacause they deserve it: Here's He-Man, the Barbarian who left his tribe to find Castle Greyskull, because he feels that there is a great power inside that needs to be defended. Customizer Nervous nailed this MOTU He-Man Minimate. Besides a clever selection of parts, that "armor", weapons and shild look like coming right out of the cartoon/comic/blister. A perfect addition to all the other MotU Minimates we've seen yet. You can have a closer look at after the jump.

Casey Jones Minimate
A lot of people would love to see TMNT Minimates, and I'm one of them. I'd prefer the gritty look of the early Eastman/Liard comics including this guy. I always imagined Casey Jones as the extremely violent vigilante he was introduced as in the beginning and later in the new IDW series. Wearing his hockey mask and being equipped with hockey sticks, golf clubs and baseball bats venting his frustations by knocking down criminals and other people. Not a guy you want to hang out with, though. But a guy you want a Minimate of. So I - that's Bob Harris - made one. Sculpted hockey mask and melee weapons made from scratch. You can few a lot more (violent) pics right after the jump.

G.I. Joe Minimates
Yo Joe! It's G.I. Joe against Cobra the enemy, fighting to save the day. He never gives up, he's always there, fighting for freedom over land and air! G.I. Joe is the codename for American's daring, highly trained special mission force. It's purpose, to defend human freedom against Cobra - a ruthless, terrorist organization determined to rule the world. He never gives up, he'll stay til the fight's won: G.I. Joe will dare. A real American hero! You know, right? Customizer Nervous shows us what G.I. Joe Minimates would look like. You got Flint, Snake Eyes, Gung-Ho, Duke and even Shipwreck with Polly. You know you want them , right? And you also know, knowing is half the battle. The other half are red and blue laser beams. Go have a closer look right after the jump.

Hellboy Nazi Minion Unmensch Minimate
One of the things I like most in Mignola's Hellboy Universe are the very original yet weired and steam punk inspired villains and minions. They are usually created by head (in a jar) of the Nazi Space Program, Herman Von Klempt, and include something like this guy right here: a cyborg nazi guy called Unmensch (in-human) from the early Wake the Devil story arch. Customizer Shamrock did a pretty nice job customizing this Unmensch Minimate including his metallic hand on a chain. You can view another pic right after the jump.

Predator Minimate
The late 80s Schwarzenegger movie "Predator" and all it's sequals and later cross overs with the Alien franchise created one of the most iconic alien life forms ever: the trophy hunting Yautja. Customizer Duplo Bob did a great job with this City Hunter Predator Minimate from the movie "Predator 2". Besides the amazing - and time consuming - paint job, the sculpted helmet is just top notch. You can also view a silver version, inspired by the Jungle Hunter Predator from the original movie, right after the jump.

Ghost Rider with Bike Minimate
We've already had a lot of different official released Ghost Rider Minimates and DST did a pretty well job on those guys. But one thing a lot of fans are really looking for is Ghost Rider's bike. Wouldn't that be really cool? Well, as always, if they don't offer it, someone has to make it. So did Les Koting aka Squall with this incredibly detailed and sculpted Ghost Rider, but also with this amazing motorcycle. You can few a lot more pics and see what this custom is based on right after the jump.

Darkhawk Minimate
The teenager Chris Powell once found an ancient Shi'ar artifact transforming him into the armored hero Darkhawk. Equipped with wings, wolverine-ish claws a grapple cable and lots of blings and bams and pows and pew-pews. Customizer Nervous did a great job customizing this Darkhawk Minimate including most of the stuff mentioned above. I especially like the paint job and the way his visor seems to glow. You can have a closer look at another pic after the jump.

Super - Crimson Bolt and Bolite Minimates
James Gunn's take on real life super heroes in his movie Super features a depressed and disenchanted cook who turns into a crime fighter after getting touched by the hand of God - "Crimosn Bolt" (Rainn Wilson) - and his ultra violent Sidekick Boltie (Ellen Page). Customizer Luke came up with Crimson Bolt and Bolite Minimates in their selfmade but iconic costumes. A very clean look and great details as allways. You can have a closer look at those after the jump and you can also view a video review of them by AdamBomb.

Rocket Pack Hellboy Minimate
I guess most people agree on the fact, that Dark Horse's Hellboy comics would work amazingly well as Minimates. Customizer Shamrock proves this to be right with his incredible Rocket Pack Hellboy Minimate. HB was wearing the jacket with a rocket strapped to his back in one of the really early issues, but this outfit's something people really remember. Besides his trademark trenchcoat of course. And (hell)boy what a fantastic job Shamrock did. The sculpting of HB's head, Right Hand of Doom, jacket and rocket are just as spot on as is the paint job on this custom. You can few a lot more pics right after the jump.

Justice League Minimates
Superman! Batman! Aquaman! Wonder Woman! Green Lantern! The Flash! Martian Man Hunter! It's the Avengers Justice League! Altough we had a few waves of official DC Minimate releases a few years back, customizer BrobotC took his time to come up with a very detailed new set of those seven very iconic DC characters and does justice to these Justice League Minimates. I especially love the hand painted highlights on those. You can have a closer look right after the jump.

Planet Hulk Minimates
Greg Pak's Planet Hulk story arc tricked the Hulk into space, stranding on an unknown planet where he worked his way up from slave to gladiator to king. It's an ancient Rome story in space. With the Hulk. Customizer Jhambhitz debuted with this great set of Planet Hulk Minimates taken from the very famous fighting pit scene: Silver Savage against Green Scar. And he did a great job sculpting the armor and weapons for those two characters. You can view a lot more pics right after the jump.

God of War Kratos Minimate
Sweet alternative video game Greek mythology! Meet Kratos, mortal born God slayer, psychopathic God of War and not the guy you want to hold a grudge with. That makes him badass for 9 out of 10 people. Customizer Lobsterman did an outstanding job and came up with a God of War Kratos Minimate including his red tattoo and his signature chain swords. You just have to love all the sculpted and painted details. You can have a closer look right after the jump.

Shrapnel Minimate
There isn't much known about Shrapnel. He's a mutated human. Probably. Or he's a a series of organic cells creating a single consciousness. What we do know is, that his whole body is covered with hundreds of separate razor-sharp pieces of metal. Hence the name. That makes it pretty hard to pursue an ordinary profession so he's working as an assassin for hire. What's also a damn hard job, to customize that guy. Customizer Boyd did a pretty amazing job with this Shrapnel Minimate. I just don't want to imagine how much time it takes to sculpt all of these pointy bits, paint them, give them some detail and in the and glue them to a minimate body while keeping it's articulation. Very cool. Have a closer look, view a lot more pics and read all about the recipe right after the jump.

Strong Guy Minimate
Guido Carosella was a typical kid who yadda yadda yadda. He's the Marvel mutant who's able to absorb kinetic engery, making him, well, strong. Very strong. Disproportionately strong. He's Strong Guy. What a name! Marvel; they really are the house of ideas, right? Kidding. I like it. And I like a lot what Luke did here. He really bulked him up good and gave him some bright colors. Great! You can few a close up and read all about the recipe after the jump.

Arkham City Batman Minimate
After a few villains, there has to be a Batman, right? Customizer BrobotC came up with an amazingly detailed Arkham City Batman Minimate. There are a lot of small sculpted details like his mask and the bat logo on his chest. But what really stands out is the paint job. Do you see those eyes? Just incredible! You can see another pic rightafter the jump.

Arkham City Penguin Minimate
Here's another one of Shamrock's impressive DC customs: an Arkham City Penguin Minimate. The hand painted details are most amazing and you got to love the accessories. The stolen Freeze Gun and his cigar. You can view more pics of Penguin right after the jump.

Arkham City Two-Face Minimate
The Arkham Asylum and Arkham City video games came up with pretty amazing adaptions of classic Batman heroes and villans. One of those classics is Two-Face and by marveling at this fantastic Arkham City Two-Face Minimate by customizer Shamrock, we feel that pain again, knowing we won't see any DC Minimates in the (near) future. But this guy here is just stunning! From the hand painted facial expression to the way Shamrock imitated that burned look and the pic's arrangement it is bloody brilliant. You can view more pics of Dent right after the jump.

Classic Falcon Minimate
One of the most anticipated Marvel characters not having an official release yet might be Sam Wilson as Falcon. I'm sure he's an A-Lister in the B-List, of which we've already seen C-Listers such as Beta Ray Bill (which looks great!)
Now customizer Lobsterman accepted the challenge and created a classic Falcon Minimate including his pet falcon - and he did good! Go ahead and have a closer look and see a lot more pics right after the jump.
